Jonasson Classroom

Description

The Jonasson Classroom has semi-flexible seating for 52 seated or 100 standing. This space can be configured to be an active learning classroom or a small event space. The central furniture is designed to be reconfigured to the needs of the session. The side tables are fixed. Unused chairs and tables get stored in the rear of the room or possibly elsewhere in the building as capacity can accommodate.

There is an integrated Crestron presentation system consisting of two presenter displays (east wall). There is an integrated sound system, and speakers, within the ceiling. The room can be divided. The hardware and software are managed by the Library. There are two desktop computers for presenters, but none for participants. There are outlets in the floors for participants to bring their own devices. This space cannot accommodate hybrid events at this time.

Dining is not allowed in this space (catered meals, box lunches, etc.). A concurrent space request will need to be entered for the Gallery - Cafe or 200A areas if dining accommodation is needed. Covered drinks and small snacks may be allowed. We may request clarification before the request is approved.

To make your request, please select the time, including set up and tear down, that you are interested in using our space. Once you have selected times, you will be directed to a form asking for additional information. A library administrator will then contact you to follow up.
